About this model
The Ford Transit Connect is a compact panel van manufactured and marketed by Ford since 2002. Developed by Ford of Europe, the model line replaced sedan-based vans with a dedicated commercial vehicle platform. The model line is the second-smallest vehicle of the Ford Transit range, positioned between the Ford Transit Courier LAV and the Ford Transit Custom LCV/MPV. In line with other Ford Transit variants, passenger-oriented models are marketed as the Ford Tourneo Connect with side windows and rear seats.

Recalls
Filed by the manufacturer with a regulator. A recall is repaired free of charge, whoever owns the car now.

Lower control arms may not meet specifications, which can cause these parts to break. In such case a wheel might hit the wheel housing which in turn can lead to impaired steering and a loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.

The reversing camera may freeze giving the false impression that the area behind the vehicle is clear, despite the presence of people or obstacles there. This may increase the risk of accident and injury. In addition, warning messages such as parking sensor failure and emergency calls can be displayed in the instrument cluster during operation. Systems controlled via the centre screen, such as heating, seat heating and ventilation, may also be inoperable. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
