About this model
The Ford Transit Connect is a compact panel van manufactured and marketed by Ford since 2002. Developed by Ford of Europe, the model line replaced sedan-based vans with a dedicated commercial vehicle platform. The model line is the second-smallest vehicle of the Ford Transit range, positioned between the Ford Transit Courier LAV and the Ford Transit Custom LCV/MPV. In line with other Ford Transit variants, passenger-oriented models are marketed as the Ford Tourneo Connect with side windows and rear seats.

Recalls
Filed by the manufacturer with a regulator. A recall is repaired free of charge, whoever owns the car now.
A12/00027/22
The selector lever may malfunction, leading to unintentional movements of the vehicle. These movements of the vehicle will increase the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the requirements laid down in the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of Motor Vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
Recall of the product from end users
A12/0038/19
The clutch pressure plate may break. This may result in reduced vehicle performance.

A12/02415/24
Improper cleaning of the components during primer application can leave contaminants like silicone, which weakens the adhesion of the glass roof plate. This may cause wind noise, water leaks, and potential detachment of the roof from the vehicle, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries to other road users. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
Recall of the product from end users
A12/0963/18
The clutch pressure plate may break. If this happens while the vehicle is in motion, propulsion may be lost.
Recall of the product from end users
A12/1463/16
There is a possibility of poor adhesion between the panoramic roof glass panel and the vehicle body. This could result in the glass panel separating from the vehicle, causing injury to other road users / pedestrians.
Recall of the product from end users
A12/1698/12
The pivot pin used to connect the driver and passenger side wiper arms to the wiper arm heads can become loose, causing the wiper arm to lose tension to the windshield and possibly allowing the arm to separate. If a wiper arm separates while driving, a loss of windshield wiper function could occur on that side, possibly reducing visibility and leading to the risk of an accident.
Recall of the product from end users
A12/1883/19
The clutch pressure plate may break while the vehicle is in motion. This may lead to a malfunction of the transmission and to increased risk of the engine catching fire.
Recall of the product from end users
SR/02974/25
The reversing camera may freeze giving the false impression that the area behind the vehicle is clear, despite the presence of people or obstacles there. This may increase the risk of accident and injury. In addition, warning messages such as parking sensor failure and emergency calls can be displayed in the instrument cluster during operation. Systems controlled via the centre screen, such as heating, seat heating and ventilation, may also be inoperable. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
