About this model
The Porsche 982 is the internal designation of the fourth generation Boxster/Cayman made by German automobile manufacturer Porsche. With the switch to a new turbocharged flat-four engine the marketing name for the models was changed to Porsche 718, in reference to the 718, which won the Targa Florio race in 1959 and 1960. The name is meant to evoke Porsche's past racing successes with light cars like the 718 that outmaneuvered competitors with larger and more powerful engines.

A12/00189/24
The rear electronics control unit has been manually programmed with incorrect values, which could lead to a changed position of the rear spoiler and a change in aerodynamics at high speeds. This could impact the vehicle’s driving stability, potentially resulting in greater downforce and additional load on the tyres, leading to tyre damage. Additionally, the top brake light may become less visible to following traffic, increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of Motor Vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.

Due to a manufacturing defect, the seal on the high-pressure fuel pipe on the cylinder bank 2 may be defective. This may result in fuel leakage from the screw connection on the high-pressure sensor, increasing the risk of fire. The product does not comply with the requirements laid down in the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
